Driving Social Justice.

Since the beginning, the John Howard Society of British Columbia has worked to build communities where fairness and human rights are real for everyone. We started by helping people connected to the legal system, and now we do much more – breaking down barriers and tackling social, economic, and health problems that impact people every day.

Fair and Inclusive Communities for Everyone

Justice isn’t just about laws or courts — it’s about fairness, respect, and opportunity at every stage of our lives. Real justice means everyone is included. That’s why we work with communities, governments, and partners to make sure marginalized voices are heard and real change happens across BC.

Challenging Injustice – Improving Equity

We work with people and communities facing inequality to break down systems that cause harm and keep people out. We confront inequity through policy change and innovation in housing, health, education, income, social supports, systemic racism and justice practice to advance the shifts needed for real justice.
