Client Story 

An elderly male residing at one of our homes who struggles with addiction, mental health issues, and mobility challenges recently won a free photoshoot. Our health care worker, this resident’s key caseworker, was preparing to accompany the resident to his photoshoot when they learned that the resident had been in contact with his daughter who lives in Chilliwack over the phone whom he has not seen in over 10 years.

Our staff connected with his daughter (with the resident’s consent) and informed her about the significant improvements he has made in overcoming the barriers he has faced in his life since receiving JHS supports. Inspired by her father’s progress, she came to visit him in Kelowna. Our health care worker accompanied the resident and his daughter to the photoshoot, which was an incredible experience for both our resident and his daughter.
